125 STORIES IN 125 DAYS

DAY 11

Comporium isn’t simply my employer – Comporium is family. I began my career with Comporium in 1999. Over the years, I have worked alongside some amazing individuals. Employees are genuine… they care about each other and our customers. Comporium supports work/family balance and demonstrates that in many ways from the top to the bottom of the organization. One instance that stands out during my tenure that truly showed the Comporium family colors was the procession that took place back in 2012 when former Comporium President Mr. Frank Barnes, Jr. passed away. Hundreds of employees lined Oakland Avenue for a salute to honor Mr. Barnes. It was an emotional moment, to stand there for that period of time, in the sea of Comporium gold. Witnessing the family’s expressions of gratitude for the love and support for Comporium and their loved one was quite moving. I am proud to be part of the Comporium family and am so thankful for the company’s 125 year investment in our community.
