Day 104
December 10, 2020Day 106
December 13, 2020
As an Pioneer, I have had the privilege to work on many diverse projects-Christmas dinners, blood drives, lunch and learn to present a Quilt of Valor, historic cemetery clean up, city events, meals for the Bethel’s Men Shelter, and many more. My son Griffen has participated in many with me: meal for the shelter, ringing the bell for the Salvation Army, packing Christmas dinners, Waggin’ Trail Dog Walk, Pioneer Kid Projects, Back 2 School Block Party, and most memorably The Wall That Heals. We both attended the education night and learned a lot about the Vietnam war and The Wall. We worked on the last day The Wall was open to the public. We were there to help find names-to be touched, a rubbing could be made, or just remembered. It was humbling to help make that connection for family, friends, and comrades in arms.

All gave some. Some gave all.
